I really love to teach!  I have students that range from absolute beginners to quite advanced classical pianists. I truly believe that the playing and study of music are one of life's great ambitions and pleasures.

All my students present to me an opportunity to help them play better by the end of each lesson, and I find that very rewarding!

I am a classically trained, national award winning pianist, and have been playing for over 35 years. I received my Bacehlor's degree in piano performance from the University of Washington, and attended Masters level classes at The Manhattan School of Music in New York City, as well as classes at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

I'm an adjunct music instructor at Holy Names Academy on Capitol Hill, Seattle, and i teach privately from my studio.

Lessons includes all the basics of ear training, sight reading, fingering, chord chart reading, hand strengthening exercises, music theory and more.

I offer lessons at $50/lesson for full time students, $60/lesson for adults. Lessons are 45 minutes; an hour lesson can be arranged for more advanced students, or for those who only can meet every other week.  Generally, a month's payment in advance is required.

For more advanced students, i also use professional recording equipment to record the student's pieces as a teaching tool. These are taken away on CD and can help tremendously in developing critical listening skills, giving the student the opportunity to objectively hear what the audience hears.
